Cyber Security Training Improves The First Line Of Defense for a Major Non-Profit

BUSINESS CHALLENGE

Our Client is a highly regarded girl’s leadership program that reaches over 31,000 girls in the greater New York area. Their mission is to create an environment that builds courage, confidence, and character in young girls.

The client needed to establish a stronger security orientated mindset in order to better protect the organization and their members from digital threats. A Cybersecurity awareness training program was needed to increase awareness and provide the organization’s employees with specific measures to combat social engineering attacks.

The solution consisted of:

Cybersecurity awareness training for the executive leadership team, functional area managers and employees.
Creation of specific scenarios to help organization detect and respond to social engineering attacks.
Cybersecurity training documentation the organization can reference and incorporate into their new employee training.

SMACApps SOLUTION

SMACApps began by conducting a high-level assessment of the existing information security policies and procedures. Training sessions were then developed that provide general information security awareness training and specific training to address gaps identified during the assessment.

The training sessions included interactive exercises specifically designed to test the participant’s grasp of the material that was presented.

SMACApps also provided insight on basic information security best practices the organization could implement with minimal disruption to the day to day operations.
